The spirit of Christmas was warmly celebrated at CSI Polio Home, a place that cares for both residents and elders, through a joint initiative of the Rotary Club of Kodaikanal and the Rotary Club of Trichy Rivertown. The occasion reflected compassion, service, and meaningful collaboration between the two Rotary clubs.

The programme began with the Rotary members responding to a request from CSI Polio Home by preparing and handing over four awareness banners, aimed at supporting the home’s ongoing initiatives. As part of the service activity, 20 sweaters were donated to provide comfort to the residents during the season.

A notable contribution during the event was the donation of 160 kilograms of newspapers, which are used by the residents for folding activities. Through this activity, they are trained, engaged, and supported with a stipend, encouraging productive involvement. The newspapers were generously donated by Secretary Robin Vincent and Past President Rajkumar Raman.

Adding further support to the initiative, the St. Peter’s School Interact Club contributed 300 notebooks, extending their goodwill towards CSI Polio Home.

The celebration was marked by cake cutting and Christmas festivities, bringing smiles, warmth, and joy to the residents and elders. The simple act of celebrating together strengthened the bond between the Rotary members and the community they serve.

The event was attended by President Pavithra Ravindran, Secretary Robin Vincent, and Past President Rajkumar Raman from the Rotary Club of Kodaikanal, along with members of the Rotary Club of Trichy Rivertown, making the programme a true example of inter-club cooperation.

The Christmas celebration at CSI Polio Home stood as a reminder that service, when carried out with sincerity and unity, can bring lasting happiness and hope to the lives it touches.
