Nestled in the serene hills of Kodaikanal, the Rotary Club of Kodaikanal stands as a beacon of service, fellowship, and community development for the last 53 years since 1973. Chartered under Rotary International, our club brings together individuals from diverse professions who share a common goal — to create lasting positive change in our local community and beyond.

Our Mission

To embody the Rotary motto, “Service Above Self,” by fostering goodwill, encouraging ethical leadership, and implementing sustainable projects that enhance the quality of life for the people of Kodaikanal and surrounding regions.

What We Do

From environmental initiatives to youth empowerment and healthcare outreach, our members actively engage in projects that address the most pressing needs of our community.
Our key focus areas include:

  • Health and Hygiene – Organizing medical camps, blood donation drives, and sanitation programs.

Christmas Celebration at CSI Rehabilitation Centre

The Rotary Club of Kodaikanal organized a Christmas celebration at the CSI Rehabilitation Centre, creating an atmosphere of joy and festive cheer for the children with disabilities residing at the centre. The celebration included several service contributions aimed at supporting the needs of the institution.            As part of the initiative, three name boards were sponsored, contributing to better identification and organization within the centre. In addition, sweaters were donated by the Club Secretary, Rtn. Robin, providing warmth and comfort to the children during the season. Further support was extended through the contribution of 300 notebooks by the Rotaract Club of St. Peter’s School, encouraging educational activities and learning among the children.  As part of its continued commitment to supporting education at the grassroots level, Rotary successfully carried out a joint service project by donating 8 desks and 8 benches to Kurinji Primary School.
