JC Trophy Basketball Tournament – A Youth Service Initiative by Rotary Club of Kodaikanal

 On 26th August 2025, the Rotary Club of Kodaikanal organized a vibrant basketball tournament as part of its Youth Service activities, aimed at engaging youngsters and supporting a meaningful social cause. Young basketball players from across Kodaikanal actively participated, turning the event into a lively celebration of sports, teamwork, and community spirit.

On 26th August 2025, the Rotary Club of Kodaikanal organized a vibrant basketball tournament as part of its Youth Service activities, aimed at engaging youngsters and supporting a meaningful social cause. Young basketball players from across Kodaikanal actively participated, turning the event into a lively celebration of sports, teamwork, and community spirit.

The tournament was conducted as a fundraising program, with a clear objective of giving back to society. The funds raised through the event were utilized to purchase jerseys for the NCC students of the Government High School, Kodaikanal. These jerseys were distributed to the students as a symbol of encouragement and recognition for their discipline, dedication, and service.


The tournament was titled the “JC Trophy”, named after JC Residency, which also extended its support to the event. The project was jointly sponsored by the Rotary Club of Kodaikanal and Rotarian Jaswanth, whose combined support played a crucial role in making the initiative successful and impactful.

The program was efficiently led by the Project Chairman, I.B.P. D. Rajkumar, whose leadership and coordination ensured smooth execution of the tournament and fulfillment of its social purpose.

Through this initiative, the Rotary Club of Kodaikanal once again demonstrated how sports can be effectively used as a platform for youth development and community service, leaving a positive and lasting impact on the students and the wider community.

Christmas Celebration at CSI Rehabilitation Centre

The Rotary Club of Kodaikanal organized a Christmas celebration at the CSI Rehabilitation Centre, creating an atmosphere of joy and festive cheer for the children with disabilities residing at the centre. The celebration included several service contributions aimed at supporting the needs of the institution.            As part of the initiative, three name boards were sponsored, contributing to better identification and organization within the centre. In addition, sweaters were donated by the Club Secretary, Rtn. Robin, providing warmth and comfort to the children during the season.
