Professional Development Programme on Career Guidance, Resume Construction, and Interview Preparedness

 The Career Guidance and Placement Cell of the Government Arts and Science College for Women, Kodaikanal, in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Kodaikanal, organized a comprehensive Career Guidance Programme for final-year students on 14 August 2025. The event was held at the Abdul Kalam Auditorium from 11.00 a.m. to 3.00 p.m.


The programme was led by Ms. Pavithra Ravindran, CEO and Founder, Ravindran & Radha Marketing Solutions OPC Pvt. Ltd., and President, Rotary Club of Kodaikanal.

Ms. Pavithra Ravindran, renowned for her professional expertise and commitment to youth development, served as the resource person for this session. Her address offered a meticulously structured and highly insightful training on resume construction and interview competency, focusing on enhancing students’ employability and preparedness for recruitment processes. She provided an analytical breakdown of the essential elements of a professional resume including the profile summary, skills overview, academic credentials, experience documentation, and formatting standards emphasising clarity, coherence, and industry alignment.

In her session on interview readiness, Ms. Pavithra elucidated strategies for delivering confident and well-organized responses to frequently asked interview questions. She presented practical answering frameworks, offered sample questions, and highlighted common behavioural and communicative errors to avoid. A dedicated segment on crafting an effective self-introduction enabled students to refine their articulation, posture, and professional presence through guided practice.

To strengthen experiential understanding, she incorporated interactive tasks and activities that encouraged active engagement and real-time application of concepts. These exercises significantly contributed to improving students’ confidence, communication abilities, and overall readiness for professional interaction.

The programme reflected Ms. Pavithra Ravindran’s exceptional commitment to student advancement and her ability to translate complex employability skills into accessible, actionable knowledge. Her systematic approach, coupled with her dynamic delivery, ensured that participants benefitted both intellectually and practically from the session.

Christmas Celebration at CSI Rehabilitation Centre

The Rotary Club of Kodaikanal organized a Christmas celebration at the CSI Rehabilitation Centre, creating an atmosphere of joy and festive cheer for the children with disabilities residing at the centre. The celebration included several service contributions aimed at supporting the needs of the institution.            As part of the initiative, three name boards were sponsored, contributing to better identification and organization within the centre.
